KŌ Kollective Trust wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good.

KŌ Kolletive Strategic Planning Hui

It's not often that we hard-KŌ Trustees all get to be together in the same room. It's a special time of reflection, contemplation and sharing ideas and kōrero. We enjoyed one of these divine moments mid-March 2021. Our kaupapa - to reflect on our journey to-date as the context for framing our future path. We heard from Cherry, Bobby, Faithe and Annette about the whakapapa of KŌ Kollective Trust - the wonderful legacy of the Opotiki Maori Women's Welfare League - one of service to, and for the benefit of whanau in need. For those of us that remember the time a "smart phone" was a telephone connected to the wall with push buttons, we were both blessed and schooled by Graeson Papuni-McLellan on the potential of social media to reach and engage new audiences. Some of us 'dinsoaurs' even practiced our posting on our KŌ socials! . Finally, I provided a snapshot to-date of our community and we shared some of the results of He 'Tirohanga Pae Ora' - our Opotiki Community kõrero mahi. We finished up our session reflecting on our values - what makes us who we are, and how we strive to demonstrate our ngakautanga in the work we do every day in our awesome Opotiki Community.
